Microsoft CEO Admits Their Smartphone Market Share Is Unsustainable

The market share of Microsoft in the mobile phone market is currently very, very small, dwarfed by the likes of iOS and Android. The company has tried all sorts of ways to try to earn a spot, but it certainly seems to be an uphill battle, and recently in an interview with BuzzFeed, CEO Satya Nadella the company admitted that their participation is unsustainable.

Gartner's latest figures show that the market share of Microsoft's mobile is very low 1.7%. However, Nadella believes that success is more than market share numbers. According Nadella, "I think we do a disservice if we measure our success by just looking:? What is the market share of HoloLens What is the market share of the Xbox What share of the PC market, what proportion of our phones on the market? "

Nadella also adds that ultimately what Microsoft intends to create a world in which the device is less important than trying to access services, which we assume is what is Microsoft Windows 10, especially now offers a kind of unified experience between desktop and mobile version.

According to him, "Go back to what I said about the mobility experience. If you think about it more as a graph, these devices [] are all nodes. Sometimes, you use all these devices ... sometimes they used only one or two of our aircraft and other platforms - so be it, but we want to ensure we are to complete the experience of all these devices. ".
