Microsoft still working with HTC on Windows 10 Mobile handsets

HTC is preparing to launch a new generation of Android smartphones, but considering the current problems of the company really expected to release a mobile phone from Windows 10.

With an increasing emphasis on the OEM of Microsoft, but the company, which has a long relationship with Windows Mobile, is an important portfolio gap Microsoft, and a recent job, a gap that Microsoft is working is there for fill in.

In a workstation 29 December 2015 in search of a director of account management in Taipei, Microsoft states:

"The team is looking for a Director of Account Management, based in Taipei, Taiwan to inform the director of sales of the device in Shenzhen, China. In this global role, the director is the responsible development of this dynamic and rapid growth of ecosystems and partnerships with business groups and teams canal while sharing extensive knowledge and strategic vision. ecosystem contains our partners worldwide Taiwan ODM 2 ECS, Uniwill, shuttle, in Clevo level 2 is more DHS and why this person will manage. in addition, this person will lead all aspects of the interaction of sales and business development with HTC, one of our best partners 3rd party accounts handset.

AM will be the HTC strong emphasis on the development of a coordinated strategy with GSO, marketing and OEM. impact should be conducted through the upper levels of the administration up to and including the head of the executive level in order to build a portfolio of products that include scenarios specific user around our windows 10 Mobile and Microsoft combined with HTC devices, applications and services. "

If this effort will actually lead to a combined, given the current problems of HTC, remains to be seen, but like most, I think Microsoft is pushing its OEM program with a bit of money as an incentive, which may be of interest to the Taiwanese company under siege.

The workstation also clear Microsoft continues its OEM program with many Chinese OEM / ODM, suggesting that we have seen the beginning of a profusion of windows 3rd party manifestos phones next year.
