Microsoft to discontinue One Drive Groups October 16th:

Using collaborative groups one drive function, you have a little less than two months to pack your data and move on.



If you use Microsoft Collaboration Groups one drive group will have to find something else soon: According to Engadget, Microsoft shutter Groups one drive October 16.

Groups one drive stop once, you will not be able to reach shared files and documents with you, so that by mid-October, will have to move these files to your own one drive.

As Engadget points out, Microsoft had already introduced limits on one drive Groups can not work with existing groups, and can not create new or add people to their groups, but the announcement of the Microsoft ruling marks the official judgment of the dead for the service.

Using Office 365 groups, which will not be affected this feature will live. But if you rely on Groups one drive similar services from other companies might be worth trying, like Dropbox shared and shared Google documents have readers folders. If you rely on one-drive Groups, take a look around your other options and give them a chance now, before one drive groups disappear forever.
